Online tuition services for IEB, DBE, Cambridge and IB learners Easy as Pi equips students with the skills and tools to thrive in the school environment, from a mental, emotional, and academic perspective. Maths & physics tuition We offer performance coaching and tuition in various subjects, primarily Math’s and Physics, in IEB, DBE, Cambridge and IB. Dedicated grade classes These 60-minute sessions are dedicated to a specific grade with emphasis on looking at exam type questions to refine what has already been learned in school. In this way the theory is reinforced whilst the students start being conditioned to be able to tackle exam type questions with proficiency and ease. Private tuition This 60-minute intervention is designed for learners needing more individualized attention due to past gaps that need to be addressed before the student can become proficient. The students are screened and interviewed, and a discussion is had with parents before a tutor agrees to work with the individual/s. Exam intensive workshops These workshops occur closer to their exams and tests. They are usually 2 to 3 hours in duration with a session dedicated for Paper 1 and Paper 2 and limited to no more than 40 per session. Workbooks are compiled consisting of exam questions from previous exam papers. We focus on questions that are most challenging whilst deepen learner understanding of concepts. Focus is placed on preparation in terms of exam strategy, time management and managing of mental and emotional state to ensure the highest probability of success. Mental skills and coaching: mindfulness for teenagers This intervention is specifically used to develop mental focus and clarity of the learner using lessons from the corporate space. The learners are taught various techniques to better deal with anxiety and stress. The content is backed by neuroscience research and is shown to reduce stress and anxiety whilst improving well-being and cultivating a greater degree of resilience. Mental Skills and coaching: red 2 blue coaching This philosophy is most famously used by the All Blacks rugby team to win back to back World cups in 2011 and 2015 along with maintaining a win record of around 90%. The coaching is used to enable students to direct awareness and attention to achieve more resourceful mental and emotional states when in high pressure situations.
