Excellent music teacher. My son loves her and enjoyed his lessons with Mrs Swart. I would highly recommend Mrs Swart.

Mrs Swart is a unique piano teacher as she has immense passion for and talent in her music as well as guiding her students. In my lessons, Mrs Swart’s training with an esteemed concert pianist was apparent as she showed me the nuances in my pieces which I could never have thought to exist. I would be amazed as Mrs Swart would describe each note or phrase in certain colour, flavour or emotion – she can definitely inspire anyone to feel music. Mrs Swart was patient during my lessons with her – even on the days when I attended class hopelessly unprepared. She would guide me through my scales and pieces without losing her temper and while ensuring that I understood the notes and technique. Though she was gentle, she also had high standards and urged me not to merely press the piano keys but enjoy the music and pay attention to my technique and develop love for the piano. Mrs Swart is a perfectionist and continues to give her all in order to help her students. In the weeks leading up to my piano exams, Mrs Swart would take time to call me for extra lessons and do her best to make sure that I was practically as well as emotionally prepared. She is definitely the only teacher who would dedicate so much of her time for her students.

Mrs Swart is a master in her skill and I have been fortunate enough to have learnt piano with such an inspiring woman, as herself. I have been learning piano with Mrs Swart for eleven years. Her compassion, dedication and enthusiasm evident in each lesson has helped me nurture my skill. It is rare to find a teacher who puts as much effort and love into her work as Mrs Swart does. I am grateful for not only her guidance in learning piano, but also for her continued support and passion throughout the years.
