Horse riding lessons Silvertree Stables is a friendly, professional riding school and competitive equestrian stable yard situated in the heart of Kyalami. Safe, reliable ponies and qualified professional staff as well as a supportive atmosphere full of team spirit make this the perfect yard for riders of all ages and levels. We offer a variety of horse and pony related activities including: Horse riding lessons for Beginners to Competitive, Advanced Riders Children as young as three can come and learn the basics at Silvertree, but beginner lessons are available for any age group. Specialised lessons for younger kids are available with activities to improve co-ordination, core strength and balance. Once the basics are in place, riders can move into group lessons and work together with their instructor to achieve their riding goals. Pony parties and kids game parties Our basic pony party is generally for 3 hours and we charge R3500 for 10 children or less, this includes the venue hire. If we are expecting more than 10 children, we work out the rates on a sliding scale of R350 per child. And if you exceed 3 hours we charge a rate of R500 per extra hour or part thereof. We can do pony rides for an hour or we offer ridden gymkhana games. All ponies have handlers(games will include bending poles, cone race, soccer ball race, etc.) at the end of which the children will receive a rosette like they would in a competition. Rosettes are an extra R25per child. As a non ridden activity we offer the option of decorating a horse shoe. Decorating the horse shoes is something all the children love to do, and is a lovely keepsake. This is again, an extra R25 per child. Some of the non pony games may include: 1. Tug of war 3. Water balloon games ( in summer) 4. Power jumping Kids parties are on - Saturdays, 1.30pm-4.30pm - Sun: 11am-2pm Pony Camps, pony rides and fun days Silvertree has regular pony camps and fun days where kids get a chance to immerse themselves in horses and the outdoors. A typical pony camp day includes two ridden activities such as mounted games and obstacle courses, two pony related activities such as grooming and feeding, as well as arts and craft and casual lessons in how to look after horses, horse breeds and colours etc. Outrides We offer group fun days for R450 p/p from 9am to 4pm, we require 10 kids or more to book the day on Saturday or Sunday. Outrides can also be booked every Saturday and Sunday, Saturday from 2pm to 5pm Sunday 9am to 12pm and if a Saturday morning is required, we can plan accordingly on request. Pre-booking is essential.
