Authentic farm outing for families If you are looking for an authentic farm experience, then come on over!! We are a working farm and not a venue per se, so if you are down-to-earth and looking for a bit of fresh farm air and interaction with some amazing animals, then look no further. Hiking trails Upon arriving, you will have full access to our family-friendly hikes on our section of the Magaliesburg mountain. We currently have two hiking trails: “Long Ears Lookout”, which gives a spectacular view of the valley, and “Brayers Eye” trail, which takes you to our natural spring in the mountain. Here you can take some time out to relax in the forest by the spring. So please remember to pack your hats, sunscreen, hiking shoes, water bottles and cameras as you will spot our mountain donkeys on your way. Bottle feeding of our Goat Kids: We offer bottle feeding with our baby dwarf goats at an additional cost of R80 per family on a first-come first-served basis. We only have limited bottles as we cannot overfeed our babies. Should you miss out on the bottle feeding, there will still be plenty of time to interact with the goaties in our play area. Donkey Rides: For the more daring kids, donkey rides will also be available at R40 per child, these are with our handsome Donkey, Blue! Weight limit for kids is 30kgs. Donkey Grooming: For the kids who enjoy giving our Donks a makeover, we offer grooming kits at selected times throughout the day where they can brush, plat and cuddle our Long Ears to their hearts content. Animal Feeding: We offer animal snack packs for some extra yummy bonding time. Our snack packs offer a well-balanced pellet which is suitable for all of our animals, they are available at reception for R15 per pack. The Farm Kitchen We have the most succulent, pasture raised & hormone free Wagyu Burgers & Wagyu Boerie Rolls. For the kids, we've got Cheese-Griller Dogs - next level up from the Standard Hotdog. All our meat is done in the Traditional South African Braai style. You've just got to Dig In! Then for those Hot Summer Days - we have a variety of flavors of Gourmet Ice Cream! Donkey Milk Tasting: Try the most expensive milk in the world at the only place in South Africa where it can be tasted. Find out more about the milk and all the health benefits it offers. You will also receive a short background about the farm and have the chance to try our authentic donkey milk products. The Farm Shop: Be sure to make a turn at our small farm shop for homemade products that we manufacture on the farm, such as rusks, preserves, various rustic items and our famous donkey milk soap and creams.
