Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre

Animal charity, rescue and shelter Wet Nose Animal Rescue Center is a Right to Life animal shelter that rescues, rehabilitates and then re-homes abused, abandoned and neglected animals. Right to Life means that no animal is put to sleep, unless it is in severe suffering and cannot be saved. Every animal is loved and cared for until a loving home is found for it, no matter how long it takes. The dogs are walked daily and taken to exercise runs, so that they have a good quality of life, and get exercise during their stay with us. The cats live in beautiful catteries where they are spoiled with love and toys, and anything their little hearts desire. Our staff are well trained to care for the animals and treat every animal with dignity and respect. Every member of staff has a true passion for animals and not one of the 30 staff members think of their work as just a job. This mindset ensures that our animals are happy and content – because every life is precious. Wet Nose does not receive any government or municipal funding of any kind and relies on the animal loving public for it’s survival. We currently care for around 350 animals, mostly dogs and cats, but also horses, donkeys, emu’s and more. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance to love and be loved, which is why we fight for them, laugh and cry with them, and try to make sure that the joy outweighs the heartache.
