Wits Anglo American Digital Dome - Johannesburg

Formerly known as the Wits Planetarium BOOK HERE High-Tech Multi-Disciplinary Digital Research Facility The new Wits Anglo Digital Dome offers a 360° immersive experience for visitors of all ages, with a variety of shows for young and old. It will also serve as a modern teaching venue and a collaborative research space where scientists and students can visualise their work – be it in big data, astrophysics, the digital arts, artificial medicine, microbiology, or precision medicine. The Digital Dome features high-resolution projectors, surround-sound technology, and auditorium seating to create a state-of-the-art immersive environment for pioneering storytelling with breathtaking displays and interactive educational resources, creating engaging experiences to captivate audiences of all ages and diverse interests. School Outings, Public Visits The Digital Dome is also equipped with a reconfigurable seminar room and meeting space for collaboration, seminars, and workshops for teaching and research. Collaborating with leading scientists, artists, and educators, we promote creativity and inspire curiosity, providing a platform for education, entertainment and artistic expression.
