Adventure Activities for All Ages Saddle Creek Adventures is nestled in the Hekpoort Valley, mere 45 minutes drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. This picturesque adventure ranch venue is suitable for a fun filled family day out or as the perfect place to build team spirit or throw an adventurous function out in the wilderness. Saddle Creek Adventures boasts a collection of horses, quad bikes, go-karts and action archery. For the less adventurous, we have a beautiful spa. Kiddies Activities Relax in the lapa area while we take care of the kiddies for you. Let your child climb aboard the back of a pony for a ride around the farm or let them experience the thrill of a mini quad bike. All rides are guide assisted and safety is of utmost importance. Horse Riding Trails with Trained Guides Nestled in the Hekpoort Valley in the foothills of the magnificent Magaliesburg Mountains. We offer horseback riding with a difference, riding western style on “well trained, obedient, calm and friendly” trail horses, with various rides into the bushveld and mountain foothills. All the rides are accompanied by trained trail guides and a trained staff member. We have horses suitable for everyone. If you are a total beginner or an experienced rider. Western-style riding is becoming more popular and Saddle Creek Adventures is a safe place where you can learn to ride like a real cowboy and have loads of fun. Relaxed Riding for Beginners For the beginner, the emphasis is on a safe, relaxed and enjoyable ride on horses that will not “run away” with you. The experienced rider can choose a more “spirited horse” for a lively, exhilarating ride. We are aware of some client's past bad experiences with horses that are difficult to control and for that reason we are careful to “match” rider and horse, taking into account their past riding experience. Before leaving all the inexperienced riders will have the basic horse commands explained to them. Trained trail guides and trained staff members will be close to them throughout the ride. Other fun activities on offer: Archery Perhaps you see yourself as the hero in Hunger Games, whichever thought appeals to you, remember that a bow and arrows are involved. Archery is one of the few remaining ancient arts practiced today, and you too can try your hand at it. Shoot a star and win a prize! Perfect for family fun and team builds. Participants must be 10 years and older. Go-Karting Whether you are a Go-Karting pro that thrives on adrenalin and the thrill of being first across the finish line, or if you have never before been behind the wheel of a Go-Kart, our extra-long outdoor dirt track is sure to please everyone! Join us in the pits for a safety briefing before climbing aboard your own Go-Kart. There are plenty of corners and straight sections to challenge you’re driving skills. Participants must be 10 years and older depending on height. Hot Air Balloon Safari Total Duration 60mins An incredible experience that should be on everyone’s bucket list! Enjoy a majestic 1-hour balloon flight, finishing off with a 5-star buffet breakfast with all the bells and whistles Meet at sunrise at the Skeerpoort Balloon Field in the Magalies River Valley in the World Heritage Cradle of Humankind. Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting This is the very best in interactive activities and highly recommended for groups and teams as well as individual bookings. Regardless of age or skill, you will train your trigger finger and compete on a level playing field with this, fun, safe laser twist on clay pigeon shooting. Throughout the activity, team members are constantly rotating and having a go. Everyone gets to cheer and the looks on people’s faces when they make a direct hit are priceless. Victory relies on skill, a little bit of luck and heaps of fun! Quad Biking Whether you are planning a family outing, a team build, a fun day with friends or a couple looking for some adventure, our quad trails offer a great experience and adventure for all. We have quads suitable for kiddies, tweens, teens and adults. We have mini quads and fully automatic 150cc quads. Our experienced, friendly and safety conscious guides will assist you with familiarizing yourself with the quads before your adventure begins. Scenic Helicopter Flight Experience the thrill of a helicopter flight over the Magalies Mountain range. Land at Saddle Creek for a beautiful 1-hour private picnic set up including blanket, ice bucket of bubbly, and a wicker basket packed with goodies. Return to Helicopter for a flight back to Krugersdorp airport. Spa Treatment Packages Massage therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle, Apomorphic oils are used to refresh and relax while soothing the mind helping to induce a total sense of well-being.
